Aphrodite's Rock (Petra tou Rominou) Where legend has it that Aphrodite the Greek Goddess of Love rose from the foaming sea and made Cyprus her home.

 

Paphos Town is strongly connected to Greek History and has many archaeological sites, including UNESCO World Heritage Spot and Roman Mosaics.  The picturesque harbour with Venetian Fort  has  many Greek Tavernas serving local fresh fish and produce - a great place to while away the hours and watch the world go by. Paphos Town is ideally situated for access to a host of other attractions and places of interest.

 

Coral Bay is a gorgeous sandy beach with sparkling clear waters.  It is ideal for safe swimming for families and hardly surprising that it is a firm favourite with tourists and locals alike.  There are  many supermarkets and also tavernas and restuarants, serving lovely fresh fish delicacies.

 

For those wishing to explore the heritage of the area the Baths of Aphrodite are only a 30 minute drive away, passing the quaint town of Polis where you can stop for a freshly squeezed orange juice in one of the many cafes and also Latchi - a fishing village with tavernas serving tasty fish and Greek specialities in a beautiful marina setting with beaches close by.

 

For the golfing enthusiast there are 3 golf courses nearby,  where a round can be booked and clubs are provided.

 

Cyprus is well served by numerous flights from the UK, the nearest is Paphos which is a 20 minute drive to the apartment.
